Eyecare professionals keen to advance their knowledge in myopia management are being invited to an international symposium in October featuring Australian myopia authority Dr Kate Gifford.
Seoul, Korea, will host the Asia-Pacific Myopia Management Symposium 2024 on 27 October, which is being developed by CooperVision.
Participants will be able to gain insights from leading experts in the field and enhance clinical practices for myopia management.
They will be able to attend either in-person or online, the latter which is free of charge.
Nineteen speakers are confirmed from around the world, with Gifford being the only Australian.
The symposium will feature three sessions:
- Paradigm shifts in understanding myopia: A deep dive into the etiology of myopia and its impact on patients.
- Gold standard in myopia Interventions: Insights into the latest strategies for effective myopia control, including optical and pharmaceutical treatments.
- The future of myopia management: A discussion on innovative approaches and the critical role of early intervention.
